Our Vision

What will Redeemer look like in 5 years?

Ever mindful of our place in the Body of Christ and the mission field around us,
we envision Redeemer's ministry primarily through the eyes of others,
and submit this vision to our Lord's will and direction.

The unchurched community will see Redeemer as a warm and welcoming neighbor who actively
reaches out to them with the Good News of Jesus. They'll view our excellent elementary school as a
beacon of light in the city as we enroll unchurched children while maintaining a strong Christian culture.
They'll welcome our expanded early childhood ministries as the best education choice for their
youngest children, and an open door through which to join our congregation. They'll observe eager
ambassadors for Jesus who are trained to share their faith. Through all of our regular outreach efforts,
they'll appreciate that we are concerned about them and their eternal wellbeing.

Our sister churches will see Redeemer as a vibrant congregation that glorifies God in all we do. They'll
witness managers of God's wealth who take the lead in generous support for both our worldwide WELS
ministry, and Christian Education at Winnebago Lutheran Academy and Redeemer Lutheran School.
They'll cherish Redeemer as a willing partner with whom to team together in expanding our reach into
the community. They'll notice worshipers who bring the best of their talents and gifts to liturgical
worship that includes the finest music of yesterday and today.

Redeemer members will see their church as a healthy family of faith with whom they GATHER to
worship God and encourage one another. They'll intentionally plan to GROW in saving faith through
increased opportunities to study God's Word, knowing it is vital to remain life-long students of the Word.
They'll seek occasions to GO with the Gospel of Jesus to their own personal mission fields. They'll
understand the focus of life goes beyond Gathering for worship, and included Growing and Going.
Redeemer members will know what is happening at their church through open and transparent
communication, as they are served by leaders who listen.

If Christ has not yet returned in 5 years, at Redeemer He will see his bride who is watching for His
arrival. He'll find redeemer souls who are clothed in His righteousness. He'll work through His Word
and Sacraments to keep us strong in faith and expand His Kingdom through our ministry.

'These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What
he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. I know your deeds.

See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. ... I am coming
soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. The one who is
victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my Go)
