August 12th will be a special Sunday at Redeemer as we install two teachers into their full-time calls at Redeemer. David Lecker and his wife Penny have been settling in to their new lives in Fond du Lac as Mr. Lecker has begun his work as our new principal and 7th-8th grade teacher. He had most recently served as Athletic Director, Instructor, and Coach at Michigan Lutheran Seminary in Saginaw, Michigan for 17 years. Mrs. Susan Schmitz served as 7th-8th grade teacher last year, and accepted our call to be our permanent teacher for our 3rd & 4th grade children.
Winnebago Lutheran Academy is the 9th-12th grade high school of our Assciation and will be installing four teachers for the school year at our 9:30 service on August 12th. Darrell Roecker is the new Vice Principal, Social Studies teacher, and coach at our Academy. He had served the last 14 years at Wisconsin Lutheran High School in Milwaukee. Emily Bilitz was called to add teaching to her role as Guidance Counselor, which she has done for two years at WLA. Two part-time teachers also join the faculty: Laurel Papenfuss is the new upper level math instructor and Amanda Henry will teach our girls Phy Ed courses.
All be installed in the 9:30 service on August 12th at Redeemer. A potluck meal will be served following the service in the fellowship hall and gym at 10:45 am. Please join us for this special day for these new teachers at our Lutheran Schools!
